Al ruim 10 jaar lang post de geniale ontwerper en kunstenaar Mike Winkelman alias BeepleCrap dagelijks online video’s en ontwerpen. Vanuit zijn woonplaats Charleston (VS) verbeeldt hij zo een toekomstige wereld met bevreemdende, humoristische en dikwijls apocalyptische scenario’s.

Speciaal voor GOGBOT maakt Winkelman een keuze uit zijn recente oeuvre, toegespitst op het thema BIO THE NEW DIGITAL. Hiertoe wordt voor het eerst de grote zaal van poppodium Metropool ingericht als GOGBOT-tentoonstellingsruimte, met 360° videoprojecties en hele dikke soundtracks. Als we terugdenken aan de legendarische concerten van o.a. Ryoji Ikeda, Alva Noto en Venetian Snares in deze zaal tijdens eerdere edities, belooft de presentatie van BeepleCrap de nodige ear & eye candy…

For over 10 years, the brilliant designer and artist Mike Winkelman a.k.a. BeepleCrap has been posting videos and designs online daily. From his hometown Charleston (US), he imagines a future world with bizarre, humorous, and often apocalyptic scenarios.

Especially for GOGBOT Winkelman will make a selection from his recent oeuvre, focusing on the theme BIO THE NEW DIGITAL. For the first time, an exhibition is set up in the main hall of music venue Metropool, combining 360° video screenings with in-your-face soundtracks. In previous years we took full advantage of the venue’s audio installation with legendary concerts by a.o.
